Re: From the floor January 31

north ia farmer,

I didn't see this article in the Sunday Des Moines Register. However, a contact of mine felt it necessary to share this with me. Yet more price-supporting material for you, I guess.

Within a rather in-depth story on commodity price/food price/world shortage, one source offered some bullish comments. Susan Payne, a principal in the London agricultural investment firm Emergent Asset Management, said the commodities are in the eigth year of a 25-year bull run. Because of scarce commodities, and a 50% jump in population by 2050, she sees wars over food, water and other resources in the next 20-30 years.

Do you see this bull run lasting 25-years? Secondly, what do you think, water wars?

Re: From the floor January 31, physical logistics of simply getting products

to town are an Up market issue for most usa products now.

Also that is an UP market indicator ( pent up demands )  well into the rest of 011 too.

Susan P is basically correct on the bull run for 25 year scenario.

I doubt population will increase by 50% by 2050, because there's an age bubble caused by previous wars thus pop should actually peak in the 8 to 8.5 B range...also coincidently in approx 25 years.

The bull market for 011 appears to have finally started.

It's the foriegn issues that have brought this to light.

Trickle down govts, trickle down supposed econs, thus no jobs, thus poverty, thus most folks cannot afford even cheap food, countries with youth now topple govts, thus hopefull better changes etc..

Looks like alot of DOUBLE ups in many agri products coming now thru year end.

Likely be alot of governments now moreso in the food demand market.

actually Canada should make more noise...

it does have a land mass that is bigger in area than China. with all that space,  you would think Canadians would spread out around their own country and not all live right by the USA. I think over 90% live within 100 miles of the USA border. Like I said before, I  hope we are keeping an eye on them...sounds suspicious.

HAHA JR You are partly right.  China is covering all our behinds.

Well it may only be 89% but it would be 'within 160 km' of the border 'up here'.

Keep an eye if you want but I suspect this may have an impact on peoples decision to stay close to your border  http://text.www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/forecast/city_e.html?nt-20&unit=m

You might take note of the normal high and when the sun rises and sets and this is the first of February.

Re: actually Canada should make more noise...

Actually, Canada has advanced almost as far south as the N California border. If you don't believe me find Canada's southern most point and look at the lattitude. They are also advancing down the Pacific coast.
