Mike......

based on everyones comments rationing is happening at a good pace and we will keep carryout next summer at or above that 700Mish range..........no problems, right????

course, the reality is this crop could come in around 12.3 or less when its all said and done..........and the soya crop will likely come in at or under 3.0............but apparently thats not an issue...........we will just chip another 200-300 off demand........

they have stopped finding 300M bushel...........which means that bullet is out of the gun.......

Re: From the floor September 12

Hi Mike.....A guy could argue that even USDA can see $8.00 to $10.00 corn as a top. They raised their average price range from $6.70 to $7.00 correct? We know that an average price are highs and lows together. You could still have $10.00 corn futures in the "mix" and have $7.00 average price!  I'm sure there is a good percentage of crop sold under today's price of $7.45? That makes some corn sold at $9.00 or higher and still have $7.00 average price. USDA knows there will be rationing and that is why they have plugged in the lower numbers. The question is at what price will it take to ration the last few million bushels?

Re: From the floor September 12

Uh, corn  ............... what bearish report? The only firm thing that you can stick a fork in is that corn yields are still trending down. My guess is the trend continues.

Yes, I know there are all kinds of other fears and possibilities out there. But a trend is a trend, a possibility is just that. The reports of harvest support the idea of the continued downward trend which started some time ago.  At this late of date a trend with factual support trumps a possibility for every trick thrown out on the table. Possibilities aren't a market strategy or a prediction.
