MILC payments projected to start this month
Jan. 13, 2011 - - As expected at the end of 2010, current projections for MILC payments indicate that payments are starting this month. Current forecasts also currently suggest that February 2011 will be the highest upcoming month, followed closely by March (see forecast below). Those who have set their MILC start date for a later month this year have until January 14th to elect February as their start month. Numbers below as of January 12th, 2011. Milk prices have risen but to stay ahead of the feed cost adjuster they have to start rising 3 cents for every one cent increase in the corn price. You might as well believe in Bomber Ben before that is going to happen.
