Aren't you in the southern side of the continent?
Other interesting articles in your link. Freeze in one area and flooding in another, labor problems in the produce area.

I am over on the Eastern side on Australia. Near a little place called Mendooran in New South Wales if you'd like to google.
It has been a very wet winter and early spring in most parts this year. Over here in the east a lot of damage has been caused to crops due to water logging and floods. There are plenty of nice crops as well. There have been talking up an absolute monster crop for Australia this year, I think the gloss is really starting to come off now. Not saying that its going to be small, but nowhere near what the "experts" were perdicting.
