Re: Garden City, Iowa
Had over an inch of rain last night. That's probably why your crocs were muddy.
Our profile is full thus why the ponds are full

Re: Garden City, Iowa
Wellsville, KS
Different story here. Beans, 8 inch rows, just above knee high. No pods below 6 inches. Beans are flowering nicely, some 2 inch pods - mostly smaller and most just out if flower. This field is moist - beans on beans and I was able to stick last years bean stalk in the ground and dig up dirt. A lot if corn here is fired all the way to tassel. Some looks good - most doesn't. Beans in 30 inch rows not canopied - I need to look at a corn field down the road.

Re: Garden City, Iowa
Corn here - bad. Field was a little weedy - not bad. But any weeds at all, and the corn was a nubbin. Crop fired all the way up. Corn just starting to dent. I could put my hand around the largest cob I saw. Very shallow kernel development. What I saw here from the road on the way up north on Friday is real - the crops here are seriously hurt. Corn 70- Bu, beans, maybe mid 20's, they're tough though because they have some water now, and may do better. Not good.

MT - wish I knew you lived close to where I was - I would've stopped by. Am I right with what I'm posting for everybody from what you've seen?

Re: Garden City, Iowa
I'm supposed to get out and walk every hour or two, so this gives me a chance to get out and do something fun, instead of just walking around a wayside. As long as I don't get shot or slammed in jail.
Braums at Emporia next. Don't know Braums - next time you're down this way - look them up.

I don't know about Peter Pan, but I do know Braums. For you all now familiar, do a search on the internet. It's quite the business plan.

My last off the farm Job sold them all the feed mixers they used on their dairy. I agree, they do have an impressive business plan, completely eliminate the middle man.
