Re: Nov. 22 beans are $13.19.
JUNE???? get a grip sd. absolutely none of Brazil sits as far from the equator as the corn belt. Comparing seasonalities won't mean anything...... Growing season comes early and an undesirably hotter extended growing season allows for a second season. In most agriculture of those latitudes planting later is undesirably hot. That is why the second crop is not expected to do very well and drought is extremely devastating. Comparitively an equal drought in the US happens extensively in cold months.... affecting winter wheat but not summer crops as much as long as spring snows and rains arrive.
The chart is 2013 which was followed by another 2 years of down markets. The 2012 drought spike in prices did not last long and made absolutely no sense when we were out of corn at the end of 2012. Cattle aren't the only markets that are extremely manipulated.

I think land prices will come down.......... far too few buyers for a sour economy. If they don't it will be the final divorce of private ownership and agriculture, now that the giant multi nationals are sleeping with congress.
