Re: The freeze damage in IA and north is real.......

You COULD be right. But in two weeks we will see if you are. That's my guess.

We really didn't get out of the tailwind of the report, which seems to make the markets gyrate - usually for no good reason in a little longer term. Remember, the production trend is still down. I don't expect to be surprised the other direction this year. Thaty means tight corn supplies, even with some fall off in demand.

Re: The freeze damage in IA and north is real.......

JohndoeQ-

You know what I think is funny?--Guys who have five posts on here in their life appearing after the trend changes to take pot shots at people that have been calling this market fundamentally correct for months.

Also, you can still sell six dollar corn around here, but you could never sell for $8, so your facts are little off.

Since you like to serve crow, will you be saving some for yourself if corn goes back up?

Re: The freeze damage in IA and north is real.......

I agree, though I don't comment often either

But I'm  still in sw ks and don't have any more to sell at 6 than I had at 7.  We were priced this year at 45%.  Harvesting now and hoping to get pricings covered.  Nothing else to sell at any price.

It also amazes me that in the last 2 years every major wheat producing country has had a crop failure, this year it was us, and now just two months after the worst winter wheat crop in decades we are reading about increased supply for feeding.

Could it be we are trying to fix a crashing economy with rumors or just trying to help  prop up office holders in an election year?

Re: The freeze damage in IA and north is real.......

Palouser- You are up early this morning--or just finishing the harvest from last night? We have had really poor conditions in Kansas this year (with exceptions for some of the northern counties across most of the state. This applies to corn, beans, and wheat. Still dry, though we had some scattered showers around in some areas over the past couple weeks. Wheat market has been trying to go up the last few days, if not for all the other issues around and drop in corn and beans.

Not trying to drive anyone to a competitor, but Ag Web.com has a GIS map sight where producers can list corn yields. Kind of an interesting concept.    Agriculture.com ????  Why not create wheat, beans, and corn maps for farmer reporting?

To find it go to agweb.com and then  place your cursor on "crops" and the pull-down menu will show "Corn Harvest Map"   which needs to be clicked on.

The address is ---- http://www.agweb.com/harvestmap.apx --- but I do not think you can access the link through this adddress.

Re: The freeze damage in IA and north is real.......

Whats is funny are these Yahoos that you claim are right all the time.  PO-Oed and Mizzoo are nothing more then cheerleading perma bulls,  the fact that they have been right for a long time is only because we have been an uptrend for a long time.  When the market goes down opposite of "Their Fundementals" they cry like any baby or farmer on the wrong side of the market.  It is really funny reading post from them crying about how the Chicago trader are wrong about the fundementals.  Who's fundementals, Their's!  Lets hear what they sold first then judge.

JohnD......

if you have read most of what I have posted on here and on the other site over the past year.............and read it in its entirety...........and read it well........you would have picked out several instances were I hinted that sales would be a good idea..........I can think of at least 3-4 post right off hand without doing a search..........those time periods would have yielded sales against the board that were not 6 or 12, they were higher than that.........

as for a perma bull, I will be bullish up until the point the pure supply/demand picture changes..........and right now demand is being given a breather to reload and supply only happens once in the US........that once is over and in areas that are starting over, ie HRW country are already behind the 8 ball and models indicate it could be rough, not to mention they have zero profile this year..........

Re: JohnD......

Hence my assessment of you Mizzoo is correct, you are a cheerleading perma bull.  After this huge break you pass it off as a correction, not a bearish trend change.  Anyone that listens to you is going to be short on sales and long on excuses.  Sonny, the supply/demand picture has already changed and "your fundementals" haven't changed.  Once "your fundemental" have changed you will be looking at corn with a four on it.

Re: JohnD......

$4 dollar corn........Oh boy I bet that is a good buy for the endusers isn't it.  I bet a lot of demand shows up at that price.
