Gottlieb weighs in on the US dollar and trade...

ja, it is apparent that the world's economy is being destabilized by the dollar trade...

In a slingshot type move this 25% increase is upsetting the balance of trade.

Playing world`s currencies against each other, while they are all getting worth less at different rates of speed is one of the greatest tricks on par with convincing the world that the devil doesn`t exist.  What is the US dollar really worth these days  4¢?...but by golly, it`s the strongest rate of exchange in the world!

Strength garnered from its reserve currency status, ja-

Would one of you hand a kleenix over to our markets, all the tears yet to falling on grain and energy ...

better yet, get a box of kleenix.

How ironic

First is the gnashing of teeth over the inevitable weak dollar that's going to happen - which doesn't - and now the same over a strengthening dollar so many said they wanted.

Make up your mind !!!

Oddly, the strong dollar isn't resulting in lower prices for imported fertilizer where urea production has been climbing and export competition has heated up. Got to hand it to these companies. Not going to let the strong $$$ screw retail sales up for them. They'll keep the margin, thank you.

Does the value of a currency really matter when the country that produces and uses it is worth -17 trillion ? Let's be honest grain prices tanked far before the useless dollar became far less useless.
