I'm sure about the cuts to the weather staff across the country. So what I outlined could not happen. Thieves are pretty creative. And white collar ones, especially when they could hide it under a mountain of paperwork would be very hard for someone to prove. I generally don't believe in conspiracies, but with the amount of money available to be poured into today's markets, I do believe that someone could move a market, or markets, to their advantage.

Shaggy, doesn't what, Rain? Eventually, it will rain or give enough of an indication that it might. That would be all it would take to make this market go down .40 to .50 cents the way it is acting. If it didn't rain, they'd lose money. But at some point, it will at least look like its going to rain.

Don't miss the most important part of this thread. The sequestration of thousands of employees across the country is going to have consequences. I think we're seeing one of them.

I don't have a lot of faith in our government but I've still got a little.  This would be something in some type of Sci-Fi movie.

Tell me a time, ever, that we go nearly a month at pollination time with no rain across 95% of the corn belt, half the belt has been in the mid 90s for a week. The cold front that was put out there as the great rain maker produces nothing. There is nothing in sight for the next 10 days as far as rain goes, and the market is lower. I guess we better get the combines out, this 14bbl crop is made and its time to roll.

Thanks for your input Jenny. Even if there isnt a conspiracy, all the cutbacks would add to the inaccuracies, and confuse issues...
