HOW ABOUT AN AMAZON GRAIN TRADE
It seems so simple when the wife orders something for the house or a consumption product and two days later the product arrices on the scene. Think of a new trade format where amazon brings buyer and seller together with a semi load of corn soybeans or wheat.
Or a rail car or boat load? they are nearly experts at moving products around between buyers and sellers. I don't know what their ,margins are but most of theirprices are bargain prices. At Least local merchants do't seem t be able to compete.
Perhaps this is the future of commodity trading and marketing.
Re: HOW ABOUT AN AMAZON GRAIN TRADE
Don't you mean eBay?
Anyway, this sort of thing has been proposed if not tried before. Maybe some day it will come to pass. The interest in traceability should foster interest in this kind of direct transaction.
Unless one is careful, the freight costs can eat up a lot of the savings one sees on eBay and Amazon and other on-line vendors.
