Happy New yrs

It was another great yr here in north IA.We went in to harvest very wet and wow it wasn't long we had the BIG harvest done with some very good yields never thought I would see things get so out of hand as they are today as there are farms selling at record prices,talk of $10-$20 and lot's of new paint.I'm going to sit back and keep the new paint on hold and keep selling at these low prices.Hope everyone has a very good 2011 and gets a chance at there $10-$20.This very well could be the yr.

north...... I am glad to see that you are back posting...... Haven't seen you for a while...... I do enjoy tour perspective on things....... It sure has a way of firing up things here on the board....... I do agree with your philosophic outlook at the markets..... Just don't always agree with your timing...... but hey..... North I would agree with you when you talk about stars aligning for higher prices this year, but what happens when new seed genetics have a great weather year unlike the hottest or coldest summers on record like the past two? After last years price scare $6 corn and $12 beans look good to almost all, most of us are not as big of gamblers as you.

life isn't a pail of roses all the time as I have been thinking the last few yrs.Some time they are just a pail of $hit but things are getting more back to normal on this  NIA farm.One thing a guy needs to remember theses prices and farm income won't be here for ever as some are thinking.

I wouldn't think you would be able to sell any grain at these prices since you bragged (dozens of times) about selling years out when corn was $4.50, did you get that LDP this fall like you were predicting last spring?

sdwx,nice to hear from you.Still the same old --- ---- I see. You are right I have sold my grain to cheap but we had a hellva crop this yr and yes I do have some to sell and 80% will be sold this week and keep just a few bu so I can say I got in on the $10-$20.No I didn't get a LDP this fall (that **bleep** USDA keeps playing with #) but I will remember to bug your A$$ this spring about LDP'S
