Heat Vacuum
Been another week of heat and No h2o in lots of the west cornbelt. Again.
Anyway it's shortened up the bean and corn crop. Again.
Know a SoDak estimate that dropped corn to 130 there this week... Were at 140 statewide avg guess .last week.
And hear of just a few beans being harvested.. Some combined.. Some put up for hay.

Re: Heat Vacuum
This drought seems to feed on itself, subsoil is depleted it`ll take above normal precip to recharge or we go into next year with a very empty tank. Perhaps the "east" will take back some of the cornbelt and Dakotas will go back to wheat and cattle? Western Iowa has been in a period of usually high yields, this year and last are getting back to what one would expect in those regions.

Re: Heat Vacuum
Corn did pretty well last year on mostly All subsoil h2o.
This year well started wo the subsoil h2o.
Kinda lucky the spots that did get rain.
Maybe it will snow this winter? Don't know... The weather has changed some.
