BA-- reminds me, a number of years ago, one year when we had a lot of down corn with lots on ground, I let some people come out and pick up corn. Seemed like a good cause -- they were packing it up and selling as "squirrel corn" for a mpney-making project for their group. I had shelled thru the worst down corn first, leaving the standing corn to shell later, and the group came out to start picking up corn right away while I was shelling elsewhere. Things went well until I noticed about half the group was shucking off standing corn instead of picking up ears off the ground. That ended it.
