Re: How the #&!!
My understanding it is on ground where Monsanto had 'experimental' plots. So far. Let's hope it's contained to that area and no tests come up positive in the general market. The last RR plots were in 2005. I would guess there was no monitoring for RR after the plots were terminated. Apparently the field has been being farmed commercially after.
Monsanto is saying it hasn't been proven to be their 'event' yet.

More info ...
More info than I've gotten. Especially since this article indicates that maybe the land was never involved in growing plots.

Re: How the #&!!
You have to understand this is shutting down our markets out here. We are exporters and customers have pulled the plug for now.
This is not Starlink.
And I have an idea what your reaction would be if it was happening to you.

Re: How the #&!!
This is bull$#%* and everone knows it.Some one did some thing stupid, and the powers that be need to condence this and then be able to pat some one on the back! The growers are constantly striving to produce a crop that meets the demands of the customer, and are proud of the fact of the score of their perticular wheat. No one has been able to purchase GMO wheat or even cares to.We have had a good selection of varieties to choose from both winter and spring, with better products to control problems. As for me,I don't want to have any thing to do with an RR wheat or any other plant because we are crop rotaters and do not wanrt to see a crop residue become a problem weed.(the pac NW ag colleges have done a fine job of producing varieties that please our customers, and the needs of our specific growing regions!
