Believe it or not Buck, the crops in NC Iowa aren`t anything to brag about this year.  That`s not to say if NIFarmer comes on he won`t be going "LDPs this fall LOL LOL  : )))))))))".  but there`s some real poor corn and beans, never got the dark green I like to see, some places fired all the way up the stalk, drown outs.

I really haven`t see that great of corn anywhere except in Wisconsin.   Down by Ames, Sioux City, Decorah just nothing to write home about.  In my little world, it looks like Wisconsin will have to carry things.  I`m just taking everyone`s word that Indiana and Illinois is so great.

BA, I seen on the "Market to Market" website that some corn harvesting has started in central Illinois. The moisture is between 27 and 29%. They didnt go into detail on yield though. I dont know why anybody would want to harvest such wet corn?

I'm guessing ADM is in need of corn at Decatur.   Heard they were bidding north of $ 4.00...might even be drying discounts.  If mine were 26% right now, I'd be shelling it.      Heard there were also some $ 6.00/bu Non GMO contracts made this past spring.  hmmm

300 bu/acre x $6......with a drying discount.....Seriouly.....that's the idiots that are shelling wet corn.  Go figure.

BF2012, the Andersons usually have a similar program here, but to take advantage of it you need to have planted a 98 day or so corn. I thought we had plenty of corn from last year? I dont have any non GMO markets nearby to deliver to or I would... 300 bu..... I doubt it. Do you have any idea of what yield they are really running?

Some nice premiums at our local co-op for corn delivered in the next week. Have some 105 day at 27% but my 103 day is still at 34% and not all black layered. Go figure. If the entire field was at 27% or better, I would sell and shell. Planted the 103 day with just that in mind, but apparently it does not want to mature properly with all this rain. First time ever for less than 105 day corn for this farm.
