Re: In the perfect World the next farm bill
Don;s right on this one. Take the gov out of crop insurance, and let it stand on it;s own. If marginal crop areas cannot support the insurance payments then they should grow something else. It never did make sense to me to spend diesel fuel, nat gas, and electricity to pump the pristine ogalalla aquifer out to grow corn.

Re: In the perfect World the next farm bill
buck, i hope that sometime MT can come on here and write how wrong you are/were. If you're market opinion is correct for 5 months ,and then some market condition changes , will you then be "way" wrong?

Re: In the perfect World the next farm bill
You assume I don't get bullish. Which is wrong. I look both long and short in the market. It just so happens some people are only looking long and the market is only going higher for them. I have a mental target when we should see an end to the bear market and a new bull should start. Until then "hammer marketing" only means how much traders can hammer the market down. MT has just hit a once in a decade market that fit super bulls perfectly, with the market trending higher for a long period of time. It just made him look like he knew what he was doing. Don't forget for every 95-96 long trending market you have a 96-99 bear trending market.
