Jen.....Equities correct....

over...no more selling.....hopefully you got long again, or will tomorrow.

like i said on previous post -- hard down, then straight back up -- why? -technical pressure...later session higher swing low just created more up pressure to help the sling-shot back up.

Re: Jen.....Equities correct....

I'm in no hurry to jump back in here. I still have 20% of what I had, and don't plan actually to hop back in until late summer. I may lose some in the meantime, but not nearly as much if this thing were to go south longer term. I'm willing to wait to see how the summer goes, and then make the determination.

Re: Jen.....Equities correct....

ok - just tryin' to spread the wealth---following up with what i said when hard down began 4/4 --

--same technical concept that's been building on wkly bean chart since last fall ---just more nearterm on S & P--we should see 2100-2200 basis S&P by late summer, then have larger timeframe correction #4 from impulse that began 10/2011 - a lot of real estate.

late summer/early fall -- generally when bigger corrects occur in equities.

Re: Jen.....Equities correct....

I appreciate the advice, C-X-1, I really do.  But thins time, no thanks.  I need to feel comfortabel in what I'm investing in, and for me, jumping head first into a down trending chart (daily DOW, S&P, Nasdaq) may be a gutsy move, filled with glory.  For me, I'm not buying it, and think we have a quite a bit farther to fall on this one.  It'll be interesting though to see who's right here.  And no - I don't want to bet a steak on this one.  In this case, I don't really care what the market does.  I'm comfortable that no matter what happens to the trades I have, I can recover from.  They can sit in my account from now till the day I die.  Short of the companies I have invested in now going broke, I know that eventually they will make money.  There's always opportunity to invest.  It's not like tomorrow is going to be my last chance.

Re: Jen.....Equities correct....

I got back in on April 2 with 20% of what I had, and made a note of it on here - you must've missed the memo  Smiley Wink.

This morning, I agree with Option Eye.  Maybe the market is looking for Ma and Pa USA to jump into the market by making it look like we're going to zoom higher, and then rip out the rug.

Market Eye is right on this one.  Maybe we have the legs under the equities to go higher.  That's OK.  I'm back to 50% in cash, 20 % in bonds, 10% in a municipal bond that I bought back in August of last year (which is up over 10% since then) and my 20% in stocks.  My plan is to roll out of the bonds (that are paying fairly good dividends) and back into the stock market at some point, as I said, probably late summer.  Right now I'm fairly diverisified in my stocks that I have.  I probably will add to my GE though, maybe today.

Re: Jen.....Equities correct....

Too many "eyes". Yeah - I was referencing Option Eye. Wrote Market by mistake. I actually goofed on the website address from a few days ago - the comma at the end got in there by mistake. When I get home, I'll repost it.
