Sorry Tiger, that sucks, I too hate excess rain more than a drought. It could be a volatile growing season ahead for all.

Re: Just took one for the team
I'm sorry for weather problem. Big storm system developed in north texas came into southern Ok and tracked to the north north east. Had some grandkids out camping in okamolgee and worried sick about them. They got home just before the system hit the tulsa metro area.
While threatening Oklahoma the system was 300 miles in length from Lawton OK to Wichita Kansas. System went on to kansas, missouri Iowa and wisconsin.
Mother nature is a fickle friend that rewards people with a thirst but nearly drowns them. It don't take long to satisfy a drought.

Re: Just took one for the team
Sorry for your misfortune MT. Been there and done that and the effects last the whole year, or longer, a lot of work to repair and just wears on you for a long time. Take it easy and don't overdue it during the rehab, be safe.
WrigthCattle....you are about the most WRONGcattleman I have ever known. This is the poorest time in easily the last 50 years to get into the cattle business...probably the poorest time since 1928 for goodness sake. Study some history man...if you think cheap corn and abundant pasture all over the plains is going to make for expensive cattle you apparently live beside a famous river in Egypt!

Low spot = about 30 acres water pounding from upland runoff.
About 150 acres with water on it this morning

Re: Just took one for the team
MT, a lot of respect from here.
Sand in the face is where I relate, and enough to make me complain on this board. Enough to ruin 25 years of work.
I appreciated the patience and kindness at my gripes and pics at the time .................. I understand MT...

Doesn't the weather radar projections remind us of the usda crop estimates........
Still need to go outside and look. Those modern projections are mostly for the media shows. Not as accurate as we would like.

Re: Just took one for the team
My dad was born and raised in Missouri. Little town called LaClede. He always talked about weather issues back in the day.
Take care of yourself.

Re: Just took one for the team
The live stock lovers should get back into the cattle bussiness if that is what they (like to do) and when the price of the grais goe's back upward, stay the course rather than jump back out and feed the CME's bull $crap. That is true diversification.Growers should raise what they enjoy, and know their market like the back of their hand.Any thing eles, you must have a nose ring!

There is something worse than anti gmo climate change and medicinal marajuana health care........
Agriculture is no different than any other part of this economy, we all got our loons.
