Just took one for the team

Jump to solution
6.2 inches in the last 3 hours

5 of that came in 1.5 hours

All this on top of nearly 5 inches last week

Roads blown out. Water in house.

tornado damage few miles down the road.

Neighbors having graduation party for oldest tomorrow and creek decided to come thru their house

Kids are safe and we still have a roof so thats what counts

But it's going to be a long battle fixing things. Going to take years based on what I can see so far just in the dark

It's nights like this that test your strength and it's not over

I'm guessing grain market will be lower tonight as rain makes grain. At least in an ambulance chasing traders world.

Sorry Tiger, that sucks, I too hate excess rain more than a drought.  It could be a volatile growing season ahead for all.

Re: Good, farm some Duck Hunts later,

Jump to solution

you got plenty of space to put that water.

quit your darn whining....you cannot grow ANYTHING without h2o.

it IS That Simple 2.

broadcast some sudex, japanese millet, trit, and wheat over your drowned out stuff later:

hay it and graze it.

Perhaps buy some cows, get out of the cab, and.learn to WORK.

then Uncle won't have to bail your next wet or dry deal there.

(  don't want any more lazy arse Uncle Paid welfare corn famers complaining bout how good things are when they learn to WORK ).

in the meantime there's dryed out after dryed outs piling up here in the SW.

Big DRY 500,000 to 1,000,000 acre ft DRY High Country Lakes ( used 2 B )....got some green grass around em finally....just No Water.

So explain to me why the fence on the southern drainage slope of a 300 acre neighboring cattle pasture is laid over at 45 degrees and the culvert is blown out at the road

That wall of water was too much for anything.

You are clueless

Hey mark. You free this AM

You wanna come help evacuate some people.

Since you seem to think we got room for all this water

Local lake's dam is giving way as I type. Entire drainage basin is grass/pasture/hay. Guess that cow pissing on a flat rock was the straw that broke the dams back

Just looked at estimated radar totals and found only one little area se of Cameron, with a four inch total , is that your general location?

We are wet and so much in the not going to be a good year now too.

1.7" on top of the .9 on top of the too wet from before.

Just looked at rain gauge and could see the river is full and my freshly planted beans with a two inch root are literally under a lake.

More rain later this week...=  big time under trend yields here.

What a waste of water that is really needed elsewhere.

The erosion of S Iowa and Northern Missouri continues unabated.

Radar returns couldn't keep up

Return shows me under 2-3

Finally tally 6.7

So wonder what that 4 inch return really was

.71" here last night.  2.85" for the month of May.  Tornado warning last night, some tree damage, had a 59mph wind gust.  No field ponds yet.
