Went 40 miles each way to the farthest away office they could have assigned me to to do the FSA sign up thingy. Three vehicles in the lot at two o'clock this afternoon one old couple just walking out. Another just done as we walked in. Wham bam got r done and pizzeroa off all at the same time and was no one behind us. Next week might be the zoo there, either that or most have figured it for the mess it is and are just rooting out of the zoo and going with the default setting.
I had a change in land in Jan, so then lady asked if I wanted to sign up and update. Said yes. Done in about 20 minutes. She then informed me good chance I would receive a payment next fall for this years corn crop.
Well Shag up here in the North Central Iowa it makes a (LOT OF DIFFERENCE) which program you choose as well as the potential payout !! All i know is thats for a corn/soybean rotation, with the right mix of yields.
Best of luck figuring it all out Genius. I'm not putting much of an effort into it, if money is there it'll be considered a bonus otherwise I'll rely on the old fashioned method, hard work and yearly improvements.
