Kraft T
Can't remember Don's handle on here, sorry I've been away for a while myself. Anyhow, thought some of you guys would want to know:
Don Kraft (BV57), passed away suddenly on June 21, 2017 in Oklahoma.
Don was a native of Renwick and a well-know farmer in this community. He and Carolyn became residents of the Bixby, Oklahoma area a number of years ago to be nearer their growing family. His wishes were not to have a formal service.
Don was my neighbor and friend, even if our politics didn't align. Missed having him around other than a few brief stints up here to look at crops, or a funeral, or family event after he retired and moved. He'll be missed.

Re: Kraft T
Mr. Kraft was the smartest liberal I ever had the privileged to argue with. May he rest in peace.

Re: Kraft T
Sorry and sad to hear this.
I recall having something come up and keeping me from attending his farm retirement auction. Sympathy to Carolyn and the rest of the family.
mark...is there an obit on a funeral home site?

Re: Kraft T
Some time in the last month, I had wondered what Don Kraft would make of the current state of political affairs
Condolences to the family

Re: Kraft T
Sic transit gloria mundi. How much do any of us contribute and how much are any of us missed? Don affected all of us to some degree and we affect others to some degree. It's probably good to think about that once in a while (but maybe not too often 🙂 ).

Re: Kraft T
Mark,
Thank you very much....
I messaged him and finally called him several years ago to see if he would consider a ride to Iowa when we had a meeting in Clear Lake of Marketing participants.
He made it clear that my Kansas politics was the reason he was considering accepting the offer, but he did not feel well enough to go at the time.
He was a word smith who could agree with you as disagreeably as possible. Or something contrary to that. But never hard to understand.
And I often wanted to agree with him, and still do............... Using my words....... "If the taxpayers were paying what they should, they would be asking for far less from our government".....
There ..............now we should expect a response any day ...............................

Re: Kraft T
It is difficult to talk politics on a forum because it is hard to express your opinions without sounding like you're attacking the other side. I didn't know Don personally but he along with Don from Mo. and John from southern Minn. gave a lot of good advice in the early days of this site, and are the main reason I now check in here almost every day. Thanks for the advice Don. RIP
