Looks like the extended maps show the trough easily steering Bertha away from the gulf and into the altlantic..
But in the "equal and opposite reaction" mode, it sort of squashes the cool trough back to the west, juicing up the midwest a bit.
Don't know how it actually works out but about one good front passage mid-month and a normal frost is all this thing needs to make it home. I'll not argue about size- big enough for a harvest low significantly below present levels.
