Options are a way of not having to admit you`re wrong for a while longer. 🙂 But some people can short the market and trade options and not seem to go broke doing it, so they must know something.
Some of these guys for years have gotten so beaten up that they were big time selling new crop corn....and beans on Friday. Uff-dah, I`ll leave it at that. In my opinion the market is yet to fully appreciate what`s happened in the last month out in the fields, I mean this is juggling sweating sticks of nitroglycerin. A cold summer, continued saturated summer, late summer rain shut off and for once a early freeze is even in the cards.
Maybe if you don`t want to stick your neck out, to buy calls with your "entertainment money" and have that to get your gambling fix of not being left out of a rally of Biblical proportions would be the way to go. But I wouldn`t want to be obligated to deliver this crop this fall for $3.90 or $4.08 the risk/reward just aint there.
