Re: Market impact

sw,

He tried bribing a foreign power.  What is so right about doing that. It is indisputable. He does not and never will have my support in bribing foreign powers and obstructing justice as laid out in the Mueller report.  And for you to accuse me of obstruction of Justice is laughable as well as offensive in view of such current events.  As far as other corruption in government, two wrongs don't make a right.  Also if he is so with in the law, why is he obstructing witnesses from testifying? They could exonerate him if he is so innocent.  Too many people have their head in the sand and want to admit "their candidate is corrupt".

And believe me I am fully aware of  extreme socialist democrats and their party's corruption and lies.

Re: Market impact

If it at all matters today Bill Clinton was impeached for lying.  The current president is on record lying up to and above 19 times a day since he took office.   So, comparable maybe, it’s just a different time.  Coercion with any foreign country in a lot of eyes is considered high treason. In which case many years ago in this country he would be stripped of all and everything as well as hung in the public streets.  Just saying times change.  IMO he’s getting off rather easy.

Re: Market impact

Joe Biden not only tried bribing a foreign power, he did bribe a foreign power. Highly illegal. Nothing at all wrong for the president to ask for an investigation in to that wrong doing. He also has the right to ask the Ukraine to look into cross fire hurricane because he was the target of that illegal surveillance.

Silver...tarnished you are becoming....

I said nothing in the least factually inaccurate at all. And, you never refuted anything that I claimed. The point was that the impeachment (IF it even happens) will have no market impact. That was the question. That is the answer in my opinion and clearly that is exactly how the markets are trading. Thus, instead of being factually wrong, I am completely correct. Sidebar, I thought and wrote at the time that the Clinton impeachment was terribly stupid, which it was, and also would have no market impact, which it didn't.

It took Nasty Nancy over a year to pass USMCA, and yet it passed with 385 votes. A pathetic reflection on her leadership. Hurting millions of working Americans when the whole country wanted the new deal (ie 385 to 41)

Hey everyone, have a Merry Christmas. We went to hear "Handel's Messiah" last night at the Palladium in Carmel. It was simply fantastic. Written in 1740, and based upon the news and this thread, it is absolutely relevant today, maybe more relevant than any time since the Middle Ages.

Re: Market impact

You can't prove anything about Joe Biden bribing a foreign power. There is no evidence.  Do I think the democrats are corrupt? yes. But there isn't any evidence. So quit lying.

Re: Market impact

He's on tape of bragging how he told Ukraine authorities they had 6 hours to fire the prosecutor looking into wrong doing by the company on which his son set on the board of directors and was paid between 50-80k/month they would not receive 1 billion dollars in US aid. The prosecutor was fired. Joe released the aid.

Re: Market impact

According to Snopes & Bloomberg....well that`s good enough for me, case closed.

However, Shokin was not fired for investigating Burisma, but for his failure to pursue corruption investigations — including investigations connected to Burisma. And Biden wasn’t alone in the effort to push Shokin out, but rather was spearheading the Obama administration’s policy, which represented a consensus among diplomats, officials from various European countries, and the International Monetary Fund that Shokin was an impediment to rooting out corruption in his country, according to Bloomberg:

Re: Market impact

Snopes is not an impartial fact checker but it's fine if you want to use them. They try to whitewash what Biden did but the fact remains. Biden said they had 6 hours to fire a prosecutor or no money. The prosecutor was fire Biden released 1 billion dollars in aid. Now the people who wanted the prosecutor fired were kicked out in the last election by the new president who ran on an anti-corruption platform. There is a new prosecutor and many question being ask about what Joe did and why Hunter was involved with the energy company and also what information the Ukraine government provided the FBI and DNC on cross fire hurricane. The code name of the FBI's spying campaign on Trumps campaign and transition team. BTW, looks like man made global warming isn't that big of a deal to either Biden as they prolifically profited from fossil fuels, but that is for another day. The fact remains Joe Biden saw to it a prosecutor was fired and Trump had not only a right to look into to it, but he has a duty to look into it as it involved American citizens and US aid.

Re: Market impact

Burisma is a corrupt energy company, the Biden kid had more knowledge of products made from the coca plant than the fossil fuel industry... so yeah, let`s give him a $50K/month job on the board of directors.  Sounds like a good idea to me.
