BTW, 600k deaths would exceed our losses in WWII and all wars since.

BTW, I don’t know how Amway is doing but oil ain’t great which means that Koch et al who are at the root of the money tree that feeds “protests” have a very personal stake in getting folks out doing the happy motoring thing.

And you do know that none of them care if you die, don’t you?

Re: LA study math, if .....

According to the article, if 2.6% of LA's population is 221,000 then LA's population is about 8.5 million.  If the average estimate of total infected is 321,500 then there remains 8.5 million minus 321,000 or 8.17 million not yet infected or 25.5 fold more people available to be infected.  600 deaths X 25.5 is 15,263 more people will die from coronavirus whether it's only as lethal as flu or not.

I don't know about you but 16,000 people dying unnecessarily just keep the LA's economy going seems like a lot to me.

Translating that rate of lethality to the whole US population still implies 620,000 deaths.

Just how much are 620,000 lives worth anyhow?

Ironic isn't' it, 620,000 is about the same number of abortions performed in the US each year.  The same Southern governors who are in rush to reopen their economies are the ones deadset against abortion.  It seems just a little logically inconsistent, doesn't it.

WHO informed every country in January, Trump was still having rallies on March 2.  His incompetence to act cost the US 10’s of thousands of lives.  It’s a fact , it’s also a shame.  We are in this together now so how we persevere as country from here will tell the story.  That’s no reason to argue just a reminder and lesson to never let it happen again.

Forget kum ba yah.

The stock in trade is rewriting history through counterattacks, false equivalencies and straw man arguments.

They can’t be permitted to get away with it again.
