Maybe the spammers are winning

When it gets so difficult to post because of all the different rules we have to interpret, then the spammers have won.

What we really need to ask ourselves, as farmers, is why would someone spam this site?  The only reason I can see, is that someone doesn't want us farmers (and former farmers) communicating with each other.  Many have already left this forum.  After 30 minutes of trying to get something posted, I couldn't get it to go because of some error that I can't seem to find.  I takes time to make a posting, and when it doesn't go it's frustrating.

Maybe they've already won.

I do not believe that conspiracy theory.  Keep in mind that your computer, any computer can get hacked by the thousand computer viruses that are public.

No, this is not just random hacking.  This is someone targeting this site.  A random hacker wouldn't waste the time on something this small.  Think what you want on this one - this is someone deliberately trying to kill this site.

As one of the "spammers"  I am getting those error codes too, the last one was on an ON TOPIC SUBJECT. 

AS a spammer on this forum I give up ,Jim and management win. I had no clue my lollipop thingy was so offensive. I was busy working in the shop yesterday morning , just before noon discovered an attic Fire and then had some excitement there. Scorched that corner of the machine shed. Found out just how worthless those and cheap Fire extinguisher s are. Got a call from a friend right after the excitement telling me about the dust up here.

I logged out on the main computer yesterday and am now going to log out on the tablet.

I have NO intention of going down in that political cesspool with snurbut and the cr@p down there.

I have asked for an off topic forum and have been lead to believe they were ok

with the status quo.  What a fool I've been,  sorry for cluttering up the web site

Who knows.  But it's driving people away from the site, because they're afraid that what's infecting the site, might infect them.

I would suspect a former disgruntled computer programmer formerly employed by SF. Perhaps tied to something Big Johnny Walker did or said to them. I would be combing and examining the past employee records at SF.

I notice the time these spammers start is after 5 pm (central) and on weekends. It's telling me it's someone who works during the day, and get on here to screw around after they get off work. And, here they are again - I can't post and they can.
