Maybe they were too optimistic?
Over the weekend the basis was dropped to -7 on corn. One week ago it was +15.
Seems this afternoon it came back to -2, there are combines running. Maybe they are seeing resistance to the precieved harvest theft of a shoooort crop?
The other thing I have seen first hand is the 10+ minute wait while a 20 ppbillion test is run on each load. I have no idea how they are going to get through harvest with that bottle neck. Good thing it is a short crop and not near as many loads.
I have to wonder if there will be anything here in South Podunk Country to feed corn to, and any corn to feed if there is any livestock left after next spring.
