Meeting at the White House today?

Supposedly there's a big meeting at the White House to discuss the ethanol exemptions situation.  The USDA is supposedly suggesting reversing 3-4 exemptions.  Reversing 3 or 4 exemption out of 31 isn't going to change the situation.  Sounds like  nothing more than a cosmetic adjustment.

What they need to do is reallocate all those 4 billion exempted gallons.

Need to fire the EPA Administrator, for starters.

Well, really need to fire the Chief of Staff, too. That's the most benign explanation- he was too busy being an anti-government anarchist to have any idea what was going on, much less to spell it out to the President.

Re: Meeting at the White House today?

Iowa congressman Steve King proposed requiring unaffected refineries to make up the lost gallons when a small refinery is granted a waiver.  Also the entire gasoline industry to blend more and make up the difference of the lost waivered  ethanol gallons.   Makes sense.

Re: Ha! Collective punishment, I like it.

Make sense, coming from anyone except Steve King, maybe.
