Mexico "tests" Argentinian wheat
Hello boys,
I just learned that it is official that Mexican purchasers bought 50,000 tons of Argentinian wheat this week. The industry that this would be a test and "transport from Argentina would be at a competitive level against the United States". So, what do you guys think? U.S. wheat growers already were unhappy, now what?

If math is right, that's 1,650,000 but. A couple
Of our local elevators full.
Let's see, Canada doesn't want our milk, we have
A 20 per cent tax on lumber exports. Now Mexico
Doesn't want our ag products, due basically
To the wall.....
So who does it seem is paying for the wall ??
The farmers

Re: Mexico "tests" Argentinian wheat
I imagine wheat is like the rest of the grains, below cost of production and we're supposed to cry because they're going to "take it off someone else's hands"? Why doesn't mexico quit buying oil filters and auto parts from us?....... oh that's right, they can't because that's crap they send over here! Its like the town tramp with $50,000 in credit card debt demanding that her millionaire fiancée sign a prenuptual agreement......."whurl okay!".

Thankfully we weren't the ones buying it and receiving it in the Carolinas. Like we did corn when corn was in piles in the dakotas for less than $3.

Re: Mexico "tests" Argentinian wheat
You do realize there is a reason they are testing wheat first.

Re: Mexico "tests" Argentinian wheat
They are skeptical at best that SA can be a better value supplier. And they can't afford to have them screw up a corn order, nor can they probably afford it
It's their way of trying to act all big and bad and gruff towards trump without actually having much risk
It's a joke really
