Re: Monday, Cash corn ( crumby basis areas ) is 175% higher
than same frame 010.
$4 then, $7 now.
Guess if the surrounding economies which actually support said price ( mostly due to conversion of E to other beneficial econ use) are better now vs 010 by 175% also, current corn price stays "safe" or maybe even goes higher.
If not, thus corn dropped 1 to $2, that would still be much higher than the 010 market.
The W corn belt has a decent corn and bean crop again this year.
NE, MN, SD, IA, N 1/2 of KS, CO etc.
The dryland corn in Western So Dak for instance may not make 150 bu, but it will do 140 easy.

Re: Monday, Cash corn ( crumby basis areas ) is 175% higher
depends on how you use words...semantics...
if you say that corn has increased in price, and now is at 175% of what it was, then the price was $4 and now is $7.
if you say that the amount of the increase alone is 175% of the base, then yes, it would be $11,
I think we all know what was meant.
