Re: More moisture
the typical fall give away process ongoing.
Even a small crop they can't store it all.
Even cheaper money is still pretty decent this year. LoL.

Re: More moisture
Sold half my new crop beans at 13+. Was supposed to be 1/3 of my beans, but, you know, drought.
Sold some more new crop corn yesterday at $5.08. Now sold about 1/3 of my corn crop. Rest is going in the bin and we'll see how things go next year.
Weather guessers finally guessed right. After 3 consecutive whiffs predicting widespread rains our area, they predicted 1-2 inches overnight and we got 1.95". I would trade this one for the ones they missed early August, but that's life. My 2.6 beans are already starting to turn color, but my 2.9's will benefit from a good finishing rain.
btw, they ALWAYS forecast record crops in Brazil....

Re: More moisture
Why should they be any different than us every year?
They actually clear and plant more land every year.
Sun is out now and grand total was 1.36"

Re: More moisture
Brazil is short of water to even barge freight and grain.
So the supposed record crops are a bit Less than media or govt spin.
When their record drought ends, we'll know... Looks like another 2 to 3 years of their current dry cycle yet to run..

Re: More moisture
The tin can harvest is winding down, but not done.
But the Oct/Nov corn bid went under $5 here.
The harvest of crop producers has begun. High $4 corn is still better than a very high % of last year's production was sold for.
No bins, bills, notes to pay? Low $4s are now in play.
Better than expected will be next battle cry.
A trim and a shave is better than a shearing.
Went to a neighbors visitation yesterday evening, (our farms join, just two years older)
Could not believe how the corn has changed the last few days. Maturity was on full display.
A few beans starting that off color just before yellowing thing too.
