Re: Need snow cover ....

Ah, you must have driven by my farm Hobby.  Smiley Very Happy

We are getting snow, but the local weatherman said the cold temps are squeezing most of the moisture out of it and it would take around 20" to be equivalent to 1" of moisture.  I've got no problems with 20" of dry snow, hell I've got no problems with 20" of wet snow but we're only forcasted for 1"-3" with heavier amounts in NW Kansas.

Hobby west is hogging all the good moisture again.

Re: Need snow cover ....

Wet snow would be nice but any snow cover will help with the below 0 temps forecast the next few nights.

Kansas has the potential to refill the wheat pipeline.

I don't care about the pipeline, I do care about my bins.  Smiley Surprised  Smiley Very Happy

Re: Need snow cover ....

I thought you took it all to the kauap.

Only drove by you if you farm between Belleville and Heston.

You could have at least waved at me, I feel so ignored 😞

Re: Need snow cover ....

About 4 inches out at Hobby west.  Staying put pretty well,  might be the year I raise something besides an insurance ck

Re: Need snow cover ....

You could bring some snow down to SW KS.  We need it too.  But with our strong north wind, it probably wouldnt stay.  Even many of the no-till fields have very little stubble to catch it.
