New York Stops Trading

NYSE Trading resumed after a 3 1/2 hour stoppage.

At 11:20am:

The New York Stock Exchange has halted trading, due to a technical issue.

It's a very rare occurrance and it's the worst since the NASDAQ blackout. A trade that was submitted and then the glitch happened will remain in limbo. It's hard to cancel the order. So, it will be traded, once the system is back up and running, according to a trading expert on CNBC.com.

No big price swings will occur, when trading resumes, according to the expert.

--No sign of a cyberattack.

jeez the Global Central Bank's various deals have cut True Volume ( meaning REAL PEOPLE WHO might care about owniing some stocks ) down to bout 0 anyhow.

maybe those smart computers will lock the doors and gas evrybody next? LOL

heck just leave the dam thing shut down forever....we've pretty much reduced ourselves back to the kromagnum age with computer trend generated AND computer actuated automatic trades anyway.
