BA the italians were using factory workers direct from china to work in country commute flights.  Same in Iran.  Hired workers to look down on.   The exposure was extreme....

But lets face it you bring up a great comparison........

Gluten----- false claims with no basis and still americans believe there is danger in gluten.... there is a very small group that have a mild alergy to gluten..... no sickness ... not one death ever.     Yet this nonsense still has following.........

Pointing out, the US population has been dumbed down so far that it may not be smart enough to be able to participate in a Representative government.....   with the advent of TV after eisenhouer and truman, every election has become "who looks good on camera" and every candidate became tainted baggage handlers.....  If a $20 bill falls on the floor in a restaurant , every politician will be on the floor going after it.  

My first training observation was the Milk lobby back in the 1960's,  When agriculture acknowledged that paying off a congressman was the way to get what you want.  Every american looks for the "check" or the deal from congress.

Locally we are short of contractors for big projects byt when some money came from the education department for new schools because of our failing history in education(go figure)....... contractors appeared with the scent of federal $$$$...one size fits all and proceeded to build an all electric school in the middle of a gas field.... school boards dont read what they approve.

Texas county Oklahoma got funds to deliver fiberoptic to every address in the county.... technology from congress....  Crews of sleazy contractors arrived immediately ready to go to work........ from Louisiana.  like Oklahoma doesn't have a backhoe.   🙂

But what ever happened to the 1,185,000 people that tested positive but have not recovered? Simple math 1,578,000 tested positive - 94,000 died - 300,000 recovered. Are over a million people still sick over 6 weeks into this? If that is true that's a way bigger problem. Being laid up sick for weeks is a big deal in MHO.

But sure, in a younger and relatively healthy population like packing plant workers, it's going to be substantially lower than that.

median age of Us 38 years.

median age of meat, poultry, and fish processing workers 40 years.

median age of US work force 42.8 years.

IMO  age is not an issue..... in the case of meat packing it is the conditions within the job..... closeness.... was the excuse for testing....and this packing plant age was lower than 38.  You'd have to include truckers and clerical staff.   but it makes no difference and nothing is learned until the general public is tested for antibodies...  Age has only been important because age is where we get death numbers..... Most all folks susceptible to death are elderly, that is where we generate death numbers.   And read the press..... we need death numbers.  They overshaddow all the data that doesn't add up..... Like those 1 million cases that never actually had to recover.  Maybe false positives or a publishing "error" to sound good.

When we test for anitbodies and find that much of the lower ages has had a touch of this virus and recovered or fought it off naturally, we will know how many have had the virus and developed antibodies....... If this were a real epidemic we might be searching for blood with antibodies for treatment.......... And ---  That might explain why california seems to be without outbreaks.

But interesting information that doesn't feed the fear is not seeing the light of day.

Strangest thing happened to me today ,  and it seems that most grocery shoppers this evenings believe that the virus can be passed by the eyes........... No one was looking while talking to anyone..... Mask on and a hello after turning the head so not to look ..... so the virus police Might see them on security camera.  I smile at every camera..... teeth showing?

the funny, yet scary, moment was in the dairy and egg section where 5 women quickly walked in with the masks on.  Someone was lecturing loudly --irrate about something,..... I looked around to see if i could watch the first blow or the throwing of the first B word...........and I had this sudden realization of not knowing which of the masked intruders to fear or watch.......... the yelling continued...... I slipped away hiding behind my cart of nothing to throw or barter for my life with.  Not a mask was moving          🙂
