No looking for bottoms on grains to hold
Do you suppose the conservative bias on carryouts stems from USDA concerns about the current early drought covering 60% of the 48 states? Thinking that the report will mark the grain market bottoms for the next month or so. Was told it will take 8-12 inches of precip to get SD soils recharged, and the chance of that happening before planting is probably only 5-10%. If dryness holds into start of Feb, the market will slowly transform into an early drought market... IMHO

You Indy. boys get all the good rain. We went from 60F to 15f in about 24 hours. Big dust storms in Western Kansas yesterday, so not much has changed out here, but hey, if it were easy all the I boys would be here.

Re: No looking for bottoms on grains to hold
ECI - you keep this up, I am going to ask Hobby to tie you to the bed springs and turn up the voltage . . . perhaps we had better have an intervention first, to make the shock treatments voluntary on your part. It is going to take a lot more than 16 inches in Iowa to get tile lines flowing. The DSM River is not flowing, and where it is, that is just the seepage from CAFO's, pumping into it . . . but . . . WTF neither is the Mississippi. Lets party!
I sure wishl someone would send me some of what these jokers are smoking . . . or . . . injecting? We are going into our second year of major drouth, this time without subsoil moisture. The party is about to begin. You can join me in the peanut section of the cheap seats to watch the carnage of all those who "protected" theselves by selling the crop that isn't in the ground yet. LMAO! John
