Re: Nother yield
Mark u need to reread the post ...
115 bu average so far.
Holland, Indiana.
"Started corn today (not with out normal starting day troubles) 🙂
Planted last day of April --first we planted - fair stand --(NORMAL year would have replanted) APH 215+ tiled on 40' centers-except for 2012 been a long time since below 200 average yield--SW Indiana
Didn't look TOO bad but I knew it would be Much less than normal--REALLY hard to estimate yield this year--
115 on the monitor --looked wet ---but 17,5% so far--thought it would be 25%+ -have shelled 30 acres--think the rest of this 75 acre farm will be less--doubt if it will be above 105 average-I thought it would go 150+ easily
Can't remember seeing the yield monitor less than 100 for long times in any field-- see 60 B/A way too much
I need 155+ or I'll collect CI-- This enterprise unit will definitely be in the CI money-- rest of the EU farms I have in this County looks worse--
Good luck to all be safe this fall
Guess it's hard to grow good corn if it rains every day--I even upped the side dress N to compensate for wet weather 250# total split between 3 times applying"

Just give it a minute, somebody from Iowa will post a 250 bpa yield and average your 100 bpa out.

Re: Just give it a minute, somebody from Iowa will post a 250 bpa.
Walked my first planted field yesterday - planted May 5. (Far western Iowa, aka "South Dakota"). In part of the field I pulled several 16x44 ears that will make over 200. In another part I'm pulling 18x18 ears that *might* break 100. Some wind damage in areas too. No idea what the field will average... APH is 157. Beans look terrible - only 25-30 pods per plant. Will probably make low 30's. APH on beans is 52.

Re: Just give it a minute, somebody from Iowa will post a 250 bpa.
The beans are going to be the surprise between the white mold and drown out areas not going to be good in this area. Had 3 tenths here last night looks like 3 inches.
