Re: Nov beans back to 9.50's???nt

Mike
Thousands of acres will not be planted. PP will pay decent with no risk. Thousands more will yield sub par.
This is a big deal wither you guys in Chicago realize it or not.

A nice run up would be great, but I would settle steady and not falling lower.

Re: Nov beans back to 9.50's???nt

One question to me is if the sentiment is the market will run up, what does that mean to the producer/marketer?

1) Nothing - wait till it's in the bin to sell

2) Buy the board or options now to make some money on it and sell or reverse at the top

3) Time the high and sell then

4) Some other idea?

I covered my shorts too, that's why I no longer flirt with the futures board.

Well, if we`re really honest with ourselves we need $10 Novi beans to hopefully have a $9.50 cash breakeven price for this year`s bean crop.  Oh yah, if you get 70-80 bu/acre beans own the land, mine the soil and consider the work and risk as "entertainment" then you can get by on less than $9.50.

It`s just endusers and bear speculators were licking their chops on beans being $2 below breakeven.  Well, they still might get their wish, it`s just now it ain`t such a slam dunk.
