Re: OK,Grain buy.? Again

I'm being really smart-assed. But also truthful

There are a lot of ideas or guesstimates out there but,

No one really knows due to the flux of exports and opening and shuttering of ethanol plants etc.

No one really knows what is out in the country hiding out in some old cutes grain bins either.

Might be grain or just a bunch of cobwebs.

Your question is a lot like the old ? of which came first "the chicken or the egg".

Well on corn, I've heard a 146 yield and 125B production is a must have.

I don't have a number because I don't know what demand will be.

Re: OK,Grain bu.? Again

Not directly answering your question but

1)  Short crops have long tails

2) the recent sorta exception to that, or more correctly to anything not bullish everything,  is if there are artificial conditions created whereby excess liquidity wants to chase commodities. Then all bets are off. Ergo weather, of course, but we're in a period where weather has limited impact anyway.

At the moment whatever excess liquidity is out there wants to chase equities. Should that change, and it probably will, it won't be like turning a switch from stocks to comms- first we'll have to sell everything off then the Lone Rangers will have to shoot some silver bullets at it.

Re: OK,Grain bu.? Again

It is kind of interesting how little you guys would have to hide in those cowb web laden bins to maybe create a little bull for your selves. The lack of farm bill emphasizes such of an senario.
