March is trading the 20 cent limit up (463) - taking out old all time highs of 2008

Re: Oats higher than corn
1988 we traded a bushel of oats for 1.5 bushel of corn at the local elevator.

Re: Oats higher than corn
I've been told its everyone using them for cover crops. The hay shortage of 2012 proved them invaluable when rain resumed. Using oat hay after wheat, many got through the shortage. Many are now using then for covers and a cut of hay.

So what happened today?
Was a marketing "expert" at some old fart's auction in central Wis and ran across an extra 100 bu ,that normaly would be a no sale because of a lot of feline foreign matter, but it actually did sell so he decided the market is over bought?
