It was a "risk off" day, grains down, the Dow off about 500.   We are as close to nuclear war as we were during the Cuban Missile Crisis ....  where`s JFK????    All is will take is a hurricane in the Gulf shutting down rigs and maybe a refinery and hello $5 gas!

I went to Fleet Farm in Mason, looking for rubber boots the shelves empty only size 15 or 7 not much in between.  Only 2 clerks checking out...that place really needs self checkouts!   Went to Tractor Supply and found a good pair Itasca brand $39,99 they rang up $44.95, I bitched about it but did no good ... "hum, the price musta went up.... blink blink blink"    ya think?   How about selling stuff foe what the price tag says? isn`t that how commerce is supposed to work?   

But I`m numb from it all, price tags don`t matter anymore, just watch `em ring it up and walk out and let `m sit with it, if you think it`s too high.

I honestly never thought Putin would attack Ukraine in the first place, I figured it was a ploy to raise his oil prices.  For one thing, legit military experts said he only had half the number of troops for a successful campaign.  Now in desperation, he`s drafting the "middleclass" lads who only weeks ago shielded them from there ever being an actual war.   Sending another 300,000 after they lost their mojo, that doesn`t look like it will conventionally succeed.   Sounds like half his generals are plotting to kill him if he goes nuclear and the other half are plotting to kill him for not going hardline from the start.  I don`t have a clue what his next step is, if anyone`s willing to make predictions, I`m all ears.
