On this day

It wouldn't hurt to give thanks for our good fortune. Our families, our health, our bountiful harvest and a wonderful market to sell it into.

Corporate profits are setting new records and perhaps we are at the dawn of an economic recovery. Job recovery not highly evident as yet but maybe 2011 will show some improvement.

Anyway, I'm thankful for what we have and the lives we share. While doom and gloom may be a part of your daily regimen, try to set this one day aside as one of gratitude. It could be worse.

Happy thanksgivng folks. May the bounty of God's blessing be with you all on this day and the days to come!  Don

Re: On this day

Good thoughts, Don, very much appreciated. Just want to say hi and give Thanksgiving greetings to all the folks who make this group a useful and fun place to visit. -- John and the Agriculture.com staff.

Re: On this day

A crank here-  I think as a whole we lack gratefulness, forgetting we live off the backs of giants-  war heros, adventures in ideas, those willing to risk democracy.

500 yrs ago mosty of us would have been serfs.

Those of us the worst off, have standards of living thousands of Xs better than 90% of the world. 1 billion people live in 1$/day.
