OptionEye...Feb 28th

Good morning.

Welcome to the Great SeCastration.

Can't get away from the media telling me the sky is going to fall. Actually, I think the average American would welcome some fiscal responsibility from the government.

What we are asking the government to do is so small in the scheme of things it is shocking the amount of press that it gets.

Anyway. How about those grains. Hanging in all day yesterday and off to a better start today. We have been melting towards the open outcry opening but hopefully today we can continue to hang on to those overnight gains.

Equities are suspiciously close to all time highs. Not sure that I can get on board that one but its hard to fight the tape. Today they are mildly higher after a super day yesterday. Gold is a little easier and oil unchanged.

IT's all gonna be on the sequester today.

It`s like a cage match between Hulk Hogan and the Undertaker, it`d be nice to see some chairs flying and pile-drivers though Smiley Happy  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce0wwXL5znM&list=UUEHsSWvrGVSIA63OV3J6vhA&index=1   $1 Quadrillion in derivatives? Uff-da!

Yes Scott --- Isn't  it sad that the ONLY way they can get anything done is to do nothing ? But what the hey -- thats what they do best !

But what really gripes old ECI's bottom is that they had to cancel the Indianapolis Airshow this year because of this -- the headline act was to be the Blue Angels , and since they didn't know IF there would even be any Angels this year --- it's a no go . First we lose the Space Program - the first nation to put a man on the moon , and now we Lose the Angels ! I just wish we would restart the space program and send they guy's in Washington to the MOON !

They cancelled the South Shore Air Show here as well....I think some of the budget moves are also politically motivated. But as you say, what the heck, even Mayor Daley found a way to cancel the 4th of July fireworks in Chicago...

I'm not an economist, but how can possibly US$ 85 billion cuts hurt a US$ 15.6 trillion economy?

It's all in priorities guys, you can't have those darn jets scaring those little kids for life.

I mean it is much more important to sent the rebels in Syria (many who are Alkada and sworn to try to kill us) $60,000,000.

Lets shut down meat inspection and day care so we can fund our enemies. Priorities, priorities.

Been wondering about all these cuts caused by sequestration, does foreign aid get cut by the same amount.....?

Re: OptionEye...Feb 28th

NW there is just a short list of items not subject to the sequestration such as congressional salaries and front line military. Yes Forign Aid will be cut as will the congressional laundry allowance.

Foreign aid doesn't only need to be cut, it needs to be AXED all together.
