OptionEye Macro Outlook August 11th
Good morning.
Getting a little quiet here as we await the USDA tomorrow.
Overnight grains see corn down 1, beans down 2 and wheat down 1.
The stock market wants to open higher this morning albeit a little lacklustre. This morning the S&P future is up almost 6 points and the Dow future up almost 60.
The 10 year yield trading lower again at 1.51% showing signs of nervousness. The world is slowly coming to the conclusion that QE is not working.
The oil market traded lower yesterday and this morning is basically unchanged at $41.67 down .04 cents. The gold market is basically unchanged as well at $1346.14 down .40 cents.
The dollar is bouncing back a bit but still under 96 at 95.79 up .14.
Today we get the Import Price Index, Initial Jobless Claims, Continuing Claims and the Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index.
