OptionEye - Macro Outlook - Dec. 24th
First of all I would like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. It is a joy to be able to communicate and share with everyone on this site. I veiw it as a honor.
Overnight, corn unchanged, soybeans down 4 and wheat up 1.
Stocks are slightly higher in thin trade after a record close yesterday. GDP was the main driver propelling most of the buying.
The 10 year yield also getting a boost from that GDP number as we see it climb to 2.26%. I am still skeptical but have to be on the sidelines for now.
Gold is up $1.02 to $1177.67 and quietly hangs out below $1200.
Oil will be the story today in quiet trade as it is off by $1.23 to $55.89 already this morning. Oil sliding on reports that the 'recovery' in the US is not good enough to stem the tide of over supply.
The dollar is just a little weaker by .15 to 89.91.
Today we get Mortgage Applications and Continuing Claims.
Have a fun and safe holiday.
