OptionEye - Macro Outlook - June 30th
End of quarter, end of month - halfway through the year.
Good morning.
Overnight grains fairly quiet after crop conditions showed a deteriorating Eastern belt. Corn up 3, beans down 5 and wheat up 2. June 30th USDA report today may have things a bit muted. That report comes out at 11:00 CST.
The stock market has recouped about 1/3rd of its losses from yesterday. Both the Dow and the S & P have slipped into negative return territory for the year. This morning the S & P future is up over 10 points mostly on the back of some mildly positive reports coming out of Greece. They have a referendum on Sunday to decide on their Euorpean fate.
The 10 year yield is 2.33% as all eyes watch what this situation in Greece does to the willingness of the Fed to raise rates.
Oil is up .31 cents to $58.64 and gold down $6.94 Tp $1172.89.
The dollar is stronger by .41 to 95.20.
As if it matters we get the CaseShiller housing numbers today, Chicago Purchasing Manager numbers and the Consumer Confidence Index.
