OptionEye Macro Outlook Oct. 1st
Good morning and Happy October.
Yesterday's stocks numbers really didn't do a number but they were interesting none the less. It seems as though corn will open down 1, beans up 2 and wheat up 3. The big winner was wheat as the crop falls short of expectations with USDA confirmation.
Stock futures a bit higher this moring but settling in before the cash open. This morning we see the S&P future up over 6 points and the Dow future up about 28.
The 10 year coming in a tad to 2.03% as jitters over the global growth issue as well as non-farm payrolls tomorrow have traders on their heels.
Oil is a bit higher to $45.92 up .83 cents and gold virtually unchanged to $1115.15 up .08 cents.
The dollar is unchanged as well at 96.36 up a paltry .01.
Today we get Initial Jobless Claims, Continuing Claims, Markit US Manufacturing PMI, Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index, Construction Spending and ISM Manufacturing. Lots to get our teeth into on the first day of the month.
