Re: OptionEye....May 7th

Hobby - I had that 7 inch rain, over ran three terraces, I now have to fix, then about 10 inches of heavy wet snow four days ago, so I think it is going to be a while before the rural backwater gets planted. River bottoms were under water, and I imagine with the snow melt, they were  under water again a few days ago.    Time to go fishin!  John

John: are you just going to gather them from the low spots they are caught in when the water recedes?  Do you spear them as they try to get out at the last moment as the water goes down with your American Gothic style pitch fork? Smiley Happy

Re: OptionEye....May 7th

The old timers around here used to try to catch carp in the slews with buckets. They called it tubbing. I don't know if they were so poor they had to eat carp or just developed a taste for it. also know a guy that did spear them with a pitch fork and cut them up for bait for other fishing.
