OptionEye Morning Market Macro Outlook - April 14th
Another week, another roller coaster.
Corn up 5, beans up 9 and wheat the winner up 15 overnight. Tensions in the Ukraine over the weekend the biggest factor in the wheat move as well as pressuring equities overnight as well.
Equities took it on the chin again Friday and look to open lower again today. For teh year, the Dow is down 3.32%, the S and P is off 1.77% and the Nasdaq is off 4.23%.
The 10 year yield is at 2.62%, not really moving over the weekend. Oil is off .22 cents to $103.52 and gold is up by $4.71 to $1323.13.
We get retail sales this morning as well as more earnings to give us a little preview into the strength of the economy which I don't think is very good.
The dollar is bouncing back a tad to 79.72 up .27.
Short week this week with the holiday on Friday.
