Good fences make for good neighbors.

I will be happy when this election is over. I will be happy when the 'fiscal cliff' garbage is over. Maybe I won't ever be happy again.

Initial Jobless Claims tell us that not much has changed. Small ray of hope from Durable Goods orders...up more than expected. So, the long and the short of it is that we have a rough road ahead of us that will probably incorporate some sort of tax hike and some sort of spending cut. We really can't shape it any other way. Whether or not that helps remains to be seen. I think it just delays the inevitable. We have spent more than we can repay. Hurts when you think about it.

Housing starts up 15%. Really evident here in the tulsa area. High priced houses are moving and the people with money are spending it.

However, A national publication did say that tulsa was the 2nd best city in the nation for job opportunities. That is in spite of AA's difficulties. I think they are putting everyone to work building medical facilities banks and churches.
