The Fed announces Wednesday that it will sell $400 billion of its shorter-term securities to buy longer-term holdings. I'm hearing this could lower mortgage rates further. What does this do for the grains?

They will grow and step up imports. They already have. The trend is not going to change. They are fully committed. There is no going back.
If my statement is used as a fundemental assumption I think it changes the tentativeness I see by those worried about economic factors. I do not see that as a basic factor in the global outlook for ag.
